Position Description

The SPCA is looking for a volunteer to take on the role of Tiny Home Takeout Coordinator.

Tiny Home Takeout (THT) is a year-round food support program that runs every Wednesday and Friday evening from 6:00–7:00 PM. Each week, volunteers serve homemade meals on a pay-what-you-can basis out of the hut at the Stanley Park Community Centre.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable taking on a leadership role within the program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and guiding volunteers during shifts

  • Acting as the main point of contact for the program

  • Communicating regularly with the Food Program Lead, Volunteer Manager, City staff, THT staff, and volunteers

  • Attending virtual bi-monthly meetings with other Food Program Coordinators 

  • Helping ensure shifts run smoothly and volunteers feel supported

We’re hoping to find someone interested in a longer-term commitment who can commit to at least one evening shift per week. The expected time commitment is approximately 8-10 hours a month.
